Buss Duct Project

ACH worked with an RTP client to replace  a 20 year old elevated  5KV enclosed  bussduct for their central utility plant.  The existing bussduct was deteriorated and there were concerns about the joints leaking.   The new coated rigid conduit raceway was installed on galvanized columns parallel to the existing bussduct.  A coordinated effort between  ACH, JCElectric, Duke Energy, Eaton, and Johnson Controls during a 24 hour shutdown successfully modified the motor control center and completed the buss duct  and conductors to  the modified Duke Energy transformer station.  Diesel generators kept power available to keep key system operational during the shutdown.
