A “Brand” New Look For ACH Constructors

As companies grow, so do their marketing and branding efforts.  In recent years the Durham based ACH Constructors has grown its client base by providing a high level of general contracting and construction management services.  In an effort to continue on the track of steady growth, ACH hired the Raleigh based marketing agency Brasco Design+Marketing to assist with upgrading the company’s branding and web strategy.   With a strong collaborative effort, a new brand, website and online marketing strategy has been developed for ACH Constructors.

ACH supports the Wounded Warrior Project

ACH Constructors plans to support the wounded warrior project in Fayetteville at FMSP again this year.  ACH supported the project at the Camaros for Heros Event at Fayettville Motor Sports Park in June 2014. ACH plans to support wounded warrior again this year, 2015, June 26 and 27 at the Camaros for Heros Event.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to "honor and empower wounded warriors" of the United States Armed Forces. The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) works to raise awareness by enlisting the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women. By doing this they help severely injured service members aid and assist each other as well as, provide unique direct programs and services to meet their needs.

ACH has been awarded the Murray Hall lab renovation at UNC Chapel Hill. ACH is also currently working with Alexandria Real Estate on an office fitout project in RTP.

ACH becomes an IFMA sponser

ACH recently became a bronze sponsor for the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA). By partnering with IFMA ACH shows its commitment to staying on top of developments in the Architecture/Engineering Construction (AEC) and facility management industry and providing professional development opportunities to staff members. IFMA also provides community service opportunities in the triangle area.



ACH to support 24 hours of booty to help end Cancer

ACH Constructors is sponsoring and participating with the team "The Fast and the Cureous" to participate in 24 hours of booty held in Charlotte this July. The event aims to fundraise to aid families currently affected by cancer, patients going through treatment, and research at the Levine Cancer Institue. Cyclists attempt to ride for 24 hours to raise awarness and funds.

ACH visits STEM Magnet School with Speciality in Engineering

ACH Constructors spent time at the STEM Magnet school Phillip O. Berry Acadmey of Technology, in Charlotte, North Carolina. During the day trip in Februrary 2014, Jon Guthrie and Mark Herbert spoke to the High School students about engineering and construction topics and how it related to higher education. They also discussed the current engineering curriculum and how it cand lead to professions like those at ACH Constructors, LLC.



Safety News!

Brad Watkins will lead a second quarter 2015 june safety meeting to review lock and tagout. Location TBD.

Brad Watkins and Jon Guthrie of ACH Constructors recently participated in a Trenching Competent Person training class provided by ITRE at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. There they had the opportunity to expand their knowledge on how trenching standard works including defining key terms, when standards do and do not apply, major components, soil classifcation tests and methods, and hazard recognition. This knowledge will help ACH employees take a more pro-active approach when working with subcontractors.
